Recording and Mixing

For almost 20 years I've been recording, mixing and producing music. My strength is recording live performances, either on location or in a studio. I have a lot of experience in recording organ, piano, classical ensambles, jazz groups and pop/rock bands.

My aim is always to capture a warm, large and natural sound. My wide range of equipment spans from state of the art clean and transparent equipment to vintage solid state and tube amplified gear. I have a large collection of coveted microphones backed up with some of the best microphone amplifiers ever produced.

Since I build and repair microphones and studio equipment everything I use is in a perfect functional state. A lot of my gear is also modified for an even better performance.

My mixing room is located in Tambourine Studios in Malmö. I prefer mixing mainly with my outboard equipment summed through my console. This is especially true for pop and jazz where the infusion of analog reverbs, echos, eq's, compressors and tape saturation adds that sought after smoothness, bite and depth. I'm especially fond of tube vari-mu compressors and API summing.
